Meet Our Team

 

Gayle Meredith has practiced family law for over 30 years and is well known in the profession as one of Sydney’s leading family lawyers.

Gayle holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales. She is an accredited family law specialist under the Law Society of New South Wales Specialist Accreditation Scheme. She has held this accreditation since 1993, the year in which the Specialist Accreditation Scheme was introduced.

Gayle is also a Nationally Accredited Mediator under the Commonwealth Government mediator accreditation scheme. She is a member of the NSW Law Society panel of accredited mediators.

Prior to launching Gayle Meredith and Associates in 1994, Gayle was a Partner at what was one of Australia’s most well respected family law practices.

Gayle's experience and skills equip her to provide exceptional, high quality, expert advice in the most complex family related financial matters. She is committed to facilitating the resolution of disputes and brings to her skills and experience as a mediator. Gayle has extensive experience in all aspects of proceedings before the Courts, .

Gayle is well known as a presenter of papers at Continuing Legal Education seminars. She has written articles which have been published in the "Australian Family Lawyer", a nationally distributed publication published by the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.

She has been a member of the Family Law Committee of the Law Society of New South Wales, as well as a member of the Family Law Committee of the Specialist Accreditation Board of the Law Society of New South Wales. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and the Law Society of New South Wales. In her capacity as a mediator she is a member of the Australian Family Law Accredited Mediators.

 

Francesca Wu was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in 2014.  She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from Macquarie University and completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice with the College of Law.

Francesca developed a passion for family law while working as a paralegal in a firm with a varied practice during which she also undertook other areas of law including commercial, property, migration and criminal law.

Francesca has practised exclusively in family law since becoming a part of Gayle Meredith & Associates in 2015.  She has worked closely with the principal in assisting clients resolve their family law matters particularly in relation to divorce, spouse maintenance, child support and parenting.  She has developed the skills necessary to undertake complex financial matters.

Clients receive practical advice and realistic possible solutions from Francesca.  Her sensitivity and compassionate nature fosters trust with clients and colleagues.

She is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales and the NSW Young Lawyers Family Law Committee.
